Dr. Charis Harrison

Co-Founder, DPT

Charis Harrison is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who graduated from the University of Montana in 2014. She specializes in vestibular rehabilitation, treating vertigo and dizziness. Charis has a passion for helping people improve their quality of life through physical therapy. She loves to see her patients progress through treatment and achieve their goals.

Charis is also an avid outdoor enthusiast. She loves to go camping, hiking, golfing, and spend time with her two boys. She is grateful to live in Montana, where she can enjoy all that the outdoors has to offer.

Charis is a trusted therapist in the Dillon, MT community. She is committed to providing her patients with the highest quality of care. She is also a strong advocate for her profession and is always working to educate others about the benefits of physical therapy. Ellen Ward

Co-Founder, PTA

Ellen is passionate about helping people in southwest Montana get back to the activities they love after recovering from injury or surgery. Her experience growing up on a Montana ranch in Beaverhead County gives her insight into the unique ways rural living is physically demanding on people’s bodies.

Ellen obtained her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from University of Montana Western in Dillon. She then went on to attend and graduated with an AAS Physical Therapist Assistant degree in 2021 from WCC in Bellingham, WA with honors. She was the proud recipient of the Pendergast Lauckhardt PT Award from the WCC Foundation in 2021.

As a Dillon, MT native she enjoys living in Big Sky Country with her husband and two daughters– as well as all the activities the area has to offer. When they aren’t riding horses and roping together, you might find them hiking, camping or enjoying the winter slopes.

Charlee Reed

PTA

Charlee Reed is a dedicated and knowledgeable Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) with a passion for helping individuals restore mobility and improve quality of life. Graduating in 2015 from MSU-Great Falls with a Physical Therapist Assistant degree, Charlee has accumulated 10 years of experience working with a diverse range of patients, from pediatric to adult populations.

As a Dillon native, Charlee has returned to her hometown to offer quality, personalized care. In addition to her clinical skills and experience, Charlee holds a women’s health certification and enjoys working with a wide range of conditions including post-operative care, sports injuries and chronic pain conditions. 

When she’s not working, Charlee enjoys spending time with her husband and 4 young kids.

Erin Riddle

Front Desk Administrator

As the clinic’s Administrator, Erin ensures a seamless patient experience by managing scheduling, insurance verification, workman’s compensation planning, and communication between therapists, doctors, and patients. She advocates for patient needs, handles all calls, and makes sure patients are supported throughout their entire Plan of Care, all while bringing a personal touch—like delivering coffee during therapy sessions.

Outside of work, Erin is a proud mother of three teens and actively involved in the community as a 4H leader, vice-president of the 4H Council, FFA Alumni, and board member for Dillon Cubs Baseball. She and her children are passionate about agriculture, the outdoors, and supporting youth organizations. They enjoy activities like river kayaking, baseball, showing livestock, hiking, fishing, and volunteering together.

MadiLynn Benzon

Medical Billing Coordinator

MadiLynn is the Medical Billing Coordinator at The Notch Physical Therapy, where she oversees the clinic’s billing operations and works closely with insurance companies to ensure claims are processed accurately and efficiently. She assists with benefit verification, claim follow-up, resolving billing issues, and helping patients understand their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities.

Known for her attention to detail and dedication to patient support, MadiLynn strives to make the billing process as smooth and stress-free as possible. She is committed to providing clear communication and helping patients navigate the complexities of healthcare billing while supporting their overall experience at The Notch Physical Therapy.

Outside of work MadiLynn enjoys spending time with her family and friends and exploring beautiful Montana.

Mattie Rae Plumlee

Physical Therapy Aide

Mattie Rae is passionate about helping people return to the activities they love through movement, rehabilitation, and wellness. As a Physical Therapy Aide, she enjoys working closely with patients and supporting them throughout their recovery journey. Her passion for health and fitness, combined with her desire to make a positive impact on others’ lives, has inspired her pursuit of a career in physical therapy.

Originally from Elko, Nevada, Mattie Rae developed an appreciation for an active, outdoor lifestyle at an early age. Growing up in a rural community gave her an understanding of the physical demands that work, recreation, and daily life can place on the body, fueling her interest in helping others maintain and restore their mobility.

Mattie Rae earned an Associate Degree in Health and Wellness and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at University of Montana Western. Through her education and hands-on experience as a Physical Therapy Aide, she has built a strong foundation in human movement, exercise science, and patient care. She plans to continue her education by attending Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) school and further developing her skills in rehabilitative healthcare.

When she is not working or studying, Mattie Rae enjoys spending time outdoors, visiting the lake, and going for walks with her dogs. She values an active lifestyle and is excited to help others achieve their goals and get back to doing what they enjoy most.

Madison Ward

Physical Therapy Aide

Madison has been part of The Notch PT & Wellness team for the past two years, working as both a Physical Therapy Aide and Front Desk Administration Support. She helps keep the clinic running smoothly by assisting patients, supporting the therapy team, and helping create a welcoming experience from the moment people walk through the door.

Outside of the clinic, Madison is an active high school rodeo athlete. She loves competing, working with her horses, and continuing to grow both in and out of the arena. After high school, Madison hopes to continue her rodeo journey at the college level.
